There is simply no comparison between a used American tractor that has 2000-5000 hours of use and a high price tag (along with the inevitable mechanical and cosmetic issues) and a remanufactured Japanese tractor with a low price tag, no mechanical concerns to speak of and a beautiful like-new appearance. Given the fact that most American compact tractors have historically been built by one of our Japanese manufacturers anyway, these tractors become a slam dunk for your customers. It's a win-win situation if there ever was one.
With our lineup of all major Japanese tractor brands including Yanmar, Mitsubishi, Iseki, Hinomoto, Shibaura and Zen-Noh / Kubota, as well as the ability to supply NEW Jinma brand Chinese tractors, and our access to a large inventory of at least 100 tractors at any given time, you have the resources you need to become a successful tractor dealer and add a nice income to your portfolio. Unlike other so-called suppliers, Josef Tractor Co has a minimum purchase requirement of only 3 tractors to get started (initial investment could be as low as $7500) and NO requirements regarding your business model. We have sold to folks who simply have a little roadside property and place a couple of tractors for sale out front and are able to sell 2-4 tractors per month, to businesses who have an established retail location and a more formal business model. Either way, you can be successful and we place no preconditions on your attempts to do so. As long as you can get these tractors in front of a few potential customers they will sell themselves.

Update - Beginning September 2009
In previous years the JTC dealer program was pretty straightforward in that you purchased 4 tractors up front and were able to then purchase one tractor at a time thereafter at dealer pricing. While this model worked well for some, it left something to be desired for those prospective dealers who were in different financial positions and those who did not have access to the traditional retail business model. In response to our dealers and prospective dealers needs, particularly in this economy, we have totally revamped our dealer program to include options for just about anyone who would have a desire to go into the reconditioned Japanese tractor business. We feel this will allow just about any prospective dealer to have an option available to him or her that works with their individual situation and provides an opportunity to earn additional income.
Here are the dealer program options in detail:
Option #1 - Import & Service
- Requires the purchase of a full 40' ocean shipping container of our disassembled Japanese compact tractors. Quantity is 12-16 depending on size and number of implements & attachments.
- Requires facilities and skilled labor to assemble, inspect and test tractors as well as install loaders.
- Orders filled at our overseas reconditioning facility and shipped to your location (shipping extra).
- Lowest price...highest profit potential.
Option #2 - Standard Dealership
- Requires the purchase of a minimum of 3 fully assembled tractors up front.
- Requires either a retail storefront of some type or roadside frontage on a mid to high traffic road where tractors can be displayed on your, or someone else's, property.
- Does NOT require the ability to service the tractors; however mechanical knowledge is a bonus.
- Orders filled at our distribution facility in Dallas, TX (pickup and delivery options available)
- Low price...very good profit potential.
Option #3 - Independent Sales Representative
- No purchase required ($75 startup fee for paperwork and processing).
- Requires previous sales experience and the ability to communicate effectively with potential buyers.
- Requires the ability to "close the sale".
- Self-starters and self-motivators are best suited to this opportunity.
- Some materials provided, however you must be able to effectively market and prospect on your own.
- Having a display increases the effectiveness of the sales presentation. Sales reps may purchase 1 or 2 display models at a discounted price.
- Commission based...good profit potential.
