Mitsubishi History
Mitsubishi's agricultural machinery division was founded during 1914 and named Satoh Agricultural Machinery Mfg. Co., Ltd. In 1980, Mitsubishi Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd. was founded, merging Mitsubishi Machinery Co., Ltd., and Satoh Agricultural Machinery Mfg. Co., Ltd.
The Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) is the largest general trading company (sogo shosha) in Japan, in excess of 200 bases of operations in 80 countries worldwide. With its five hundred group companies, over 48,000 people are employed by MC. For many years, MC has been envolved in business with customers around the globe, in nearly every industrial sector, including energy, metals, machinery, chemicals, food and general merchandise.
