Yanmar Tractors
The Yanmar tractor was founded in Japan in 1912. The firm has a long history with small diesel engines. The agricultural equipment division of the company was started in 1961. Yanmar entered into an arrangement with John Deere and began building several utility tractor models in the early 1980s for Deere. Yanmar continues to be an engine supplier for Deere's utility tractors. "Grey-market" imported Yanmar. With its long history this company continues to dominate as a leader in the compact Japanese tractor genre.
